Designing and building an online sports-management package for the Eton-Fives Association.

Description: Eton Fives is a niche sport played across the UK. As part of a push to grow the sport and membership, the Eton Fives Association wanted a website to provide an accessible information hub for the sport.

Ladder Fixture List

Key goals were to:

Organise and manage fixtures online
Improve inter-player communication
Monitor the health of the sport
Store and retrieve historical fixture results

In meeting these goals, the Fives Online website provides:

Fixture Management tools, encompassing a range of different fixture types, and allowing for the publication of fixtures in a central list and by email.
A Player Directory, providing a fuzzy-Player Search facility.
A Results section including results of scored fixtures, plus an annual Leaderboard providing rankings based on results of "ladder" fixtures.
A Courts directory, providing geo-referenced court information
A Club directory, providing club statistics, membership listings and player location by postcode in a Google Maps plugin.
Automatic emailing of fixture reminders to participating players.
General static webpages to be edited in Dreamweaver.
