Unnamed-Unclimbed was an audacious expedition to climb a hitherto unexplored peak in the Kunlun range, to the north of the Aksai Chin region between western Tibet, Kashmir and Chinese Turkistan (Xinjiang).

Site of a 1962 border war between China and India, non-classified maps of the Aksai Chin were almost non-existent, and provided only the most basic overview of the region. Working closely with the leader of the expedition, I supplied a range of maps including 1:40K, 1:100K, regional and global scope. Animations were supplied (in an era before Worldwind or Google Earth!) to visualise elevations and landcover features. Final maps supplied in pdf format for website use, A3/4 printing, and large-format 90" plotting.
