Yushu Prefecture GIS

Developing a series of GIS Maps of Jinpa Projects for internal and external use.

Jinpa Projects is a small charity working in the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, China. This is an extremely remote and unknown area, and the only maps available are very small scale (in excess of 1:5M).

Maps of Yushu Prefecture for the Jinpa Trust

Drawing on a range of Chinese and international sources, I provided a series of maps at 1:2M down to 1:600K. These were used to identify project sites within Yushu, as well as existing infrastructure (roads, bridges etc), rivers, and boundaries.
